Why Silver

Silver exploration and production is essential to the United States for many reasons, including the economy, modern technology needs, and domestic supply aiding in national security. Silver is on the list of critical minerals in the U.S., due to its essential role in modern technology, defence, as well as its use in renewable energy.

Silver is one of the most conductive metals, making it an extremely efficient metal used in important technologies. The U.S. is currently in a silver deficit and must import the majority of its Silver, leaving the commodity vulnerable to supply chain disruptions. Increasing the production of Silver domestically would reduce reliance on foreign and geopolitically unstable countries, improve domestic security and aid in the support of the economy.
